Play Date

Play Date is a convenient hourly drop-in child care facility with locations in Goldsboro and Greenville, NC. Our main goal is to provide parents with a reliable and affordable child care option while they run errands, shop, or go out to dinner. At Play Date, we offer a safe and convenient indoor play space that includes structured and child-directed activities for children 12 months to 12 years of age.

Our facilities are designed to promote sensory and motor learning, and our activities include music, role play, crafts, stories, and indoor games. We understand that parents have different schedules and needs, which is why we offer a flexible hourly pay schedule that allows parents to design and vary their child's schedule as needed. We also offer affordable rates, frequent visitor cards, and sibling discounts to make our services accessible to all families.

Locations & Rates

Play Date has two convenient locations in North Carolina: one in Goldsboro and another in Greenville. Each location offers a unique and engaging environment for children, with activities and facilities designed to promote learning and development. Our rates are affordable and competitive, with discounts available for frequent visitors and siblings.

In Goldsboro, our facility is located at 402 N. Spence Ave, and we offer rates of $9.00 per hour for the first child and $4.50 per hour for additional children. In Greenville, our facility is located at 1909 Firetower Rd., Suite D, and we offer rates of $7.00 per hour for the first child and $4.00 per hour for additional children.

We encourage parents to call ahead and reserve a slot for their child, as we can only accommodate up to 24 children during hourly intervals throughout the day. Walk-ins are also welcome when we have space available. Payment can be made by cash, check, debit, and/or major credit card.

Policies & Regulations

At Play Date, we prioritize the safety and well-being of all children in our care. We have established several policies and regulations to ensure that our facilities are safe and welcoming for all families.

Our facilities are open for a maximum of four consecutive hours on any given day, and we suggest that parents call ahead to reserve a slot for their child. Payment is due by cash, check, debit, and/or major credit card, and there will be a fee of $25.00 for any returned check due to insufficient funds.

We provide snacks and water for all children, and parents are encouraged to pack meals for their child if they will be attending during meal times. Children do not need to be potty trained to attend our center, and parents are responsible for providing diapers, wipes, and a change of clothing for their child. There will be a $0.50 fee for every diaper provided by Play Date.

We also have health guidelines in place to ensure that all children in our facility are healthy and safe. Parents should consider the following health guidelines before deciding to send their child to Play Date: temperature of 100.6 or higher, nausea/vomiting, diarrhea, red, watery eyes with yellow or cloudy drainage, undiagnosed rash, excessive phlegm cough, and/or purulent nasal drainage. Severe sore throats and unexplained lethargy are also reasons to keep your child home.

When picking up your child from Play Date, please be sure to have a picture ID handy. Only persons listed on the Registration Form will be allowed to pick up children, and ID is required for the sake of your child, our staff members, and other children attending our facility.
