Therapy Approaches
Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) is one of Julia's specialties, focusing on understanding the underlying feelings and patterns of communication that fuel arguments. Bader-Pearson's Developmental Model is another approach she uses, which integrates insights from attachment theory, differentiation theory, and neuroscience to help couples practice new communication tools and skills. Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is also part of her repertoire, focusing on how thoughts and feelings affect behavior and teaching individuals to change destructive patterns. Lastly, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) is used to treat anxiety and depression by teaching individuals to defuse pessimistic mental voices and commit to leading a purposeful life.
