Our History
Gloria Blackwell, our founder and instructor, has been in the beauty industry for over 35 years. With her extensive experience, she has owned three salons and has been a teacher at various barber colleges. Her passion for barbering has driven her to create a school that focuses on providing quality education and training to her students.
Our Programs
At Gloria's Barber College, we offer a range of programs designed to prepare students for various roles in the barber industry. Our programs are designed to equip students with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their careers.
Class A Barber
Our 1000-hour Class A Barber program is designed to prepare students for the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) examination and provides the knowledge and skills to be employed as a licensed barber.
Barber Instructor Course
Our 750-hour Barber Instructor program is designed for students who have already obtained their Class A Barber license. This program prepares students to become licensed instructors in the knowledge and skills necessary to teach barbering.
Operator to Class A Barber Course
Our Operator to Class A Barber program requires a cosmetology license and 300 hours of training. This program prepares students for the TDLR examination and provides the knowledge and skills to become a Class A Barber.
Manicurist Program
Our 600-hour Manicurist program is designed to prepare students for the TDLR examination and provides the knowledge and skills to be employed as a manicurist.
About Our Facilities
Our state-of-the-art facilities are designed to provide students with a comfortable and conducive learning environment. Our schools are equipped with modern equipment and tools, ensuring that students have everything they need to succeed.
Student Hours of Operation
Our student hours of operation are:
- Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday: 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
- Saturday and Sunday: School closed
- Monday: School closed
