Our company was founded by Chris Daffan in 2006, following his two-year tenure as a construction manager with the Prince William County Habitat for Humanity affiliate. Since our inception, every home we've built or remodeled has been based on Chris' vision of sustainable home construction methods.

Our commitment to sustainability is evident in our green features, which include 20-60% higher insulation values, energy star appliances and lighting, appropriate use of solar technology, recycling of construction waste, and reuse of materials through the Habitat for Humanity restore system.

Green Building Efforts

At Daffan Homes, we believe that green building is not just a trend, but a necessity for a sustainable future. That's why we're a member of the U.S. Green Building Council and have built homes that are up to 70% more efficient than standard code-built homes.

Our green building efforts are reflected in our recent project, the construction of an EarthCraft Platinum Certified home in Alexandria, Virginia. This home features the highest level of insulation, photovoltaic solar panels and solar hot water heating, recycling of all construction waste, energy star appliances and lighting, sustainable bamboo flooring, and a high-efficiency HVAC system.
