Our History

CSI Engineering's journey began in the 1980s when our founder, Dave Ghosal, PE, assembled a team of like-minded engineers with a mission to design reliable, safe, and efficient mission critical facility infrastructures. Our first major client was Quantum Chemical Corp., for whom we designed a new data center in Louisville, KY. Throughout the 1990s, we continued to grow and expand our clientele, working on projects for financial institutions, healthcare facilities, and government institutions. Notable projects include the development of the nation's first Tier IV data center with IBM and UpTime Institute, and the design of MRI suites at Johns Hopkins Hospital. Our experience in the healthcare sector further expanded in the 2000s with projects for the Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission and Naval Air Station Patuxent River.
