Empowering Individuals to Redefine Their Emotional Wellness
A Place for Me Counseling is a mental wellness facility dedicated to redefining mental wellness, one moment at a time. Our founding story began with a personal journey of transformation, born out of a life-changing experience. The founder, Erlese Caruth, went through a heart surgery, which sparked a relentless pursuit of redefining her emotional wellness. Through therapy, meditation, and wellness habits, Erlese successfully reclaimed her life and is now committed to helping others do the same.
Our Purpose
At A Place for Me Counseling, we believe that every individual has a unique narrative that shapes their life. We are passionate about helping our clients unpack their underlying issues, rewrite their stories, and discover ways to emerge stronger, more confident, and resilient. Our team of licensed therapists, including LPCs, LAMFTs, and APCs, utilitize a range of techniques, including EMDR, hypnotherapy, exposure response prevention, solution-focused, narrative, cognitive behavior, and evidence-based treatment for adolescents.
Our Services
- Individual Therapy: This is a process meant to uncover the root cause of problems preventing you from living the life you want. Individual treatment is often termed psychotherapy and is meant to help people with emotional dysregulation.
- Sex Therapy: The goal of sex therapy is to help individuals and couples identify and work through sexual challenges.
- Couples Therapy: This is an opportunity to explore underlying issues that may be preventing you from connecting with yourself, a partner, or a loved one. Couples therapy is similar to family therapy but concentrates on the one-to-one relationship of the couple.
- Family Counseling: Family therapy focuses on the unit, and as such, a secure attachment and a firm foundation are key components of the relationship and building blocks for trust.
- Group Counseling: Group counseling provides a connection with others that are experiencing similar life challenges. It is a collaborative effort in which the facilitator guides the process of the group, allowing members to share their experiences, express their feelings, and exhibit openness.
- CEU Workshops: Our interactive CEU workshops encourage active participation, group discussions, case studies, and hands-on exercises. We will discuss the ethical concerns and the essentials needed to create a solid online business.
