Our Mission and Philosophy

At North Ridge Music School, our mission is to provide a comprehensive music education program that fosters a lifelong appreciation for music and artistic expression. We believe that every child has the potential to learn and enjoy music, regardless of their level of experience or ability. Our expert instructors are dedicated to helping students of all ages and skill levels develop their musical talents, build confidence, and cultivate a deeper understanding of music as an art form.

Our Services

We offer a diverse range of music lessons and programs designed to cater to the unique needs and interests of our students. Our comprehensive program includes private, small group, and ensemble lessons, as well as regular recitals and public performances. Our expert instructors are trained to teach a variety of instruments, including piano, guitar, bass, drum set, percussion, and voice.

Piano Lessons

Our piano lessons are tailored to the individual needs and abilities of each student. Our instructors use a step-by-step approach to develop an individual's musical skills in a motivating and encouraging atmosphere. We offer instruction in piano techniques, fundamentals of note reading, musical theory and history, and developing artistic interpretation and expression.

Guitar and Other Instruments

Our guitar lessons are designed for students of all skill levels, from beginners to advanced players. We offer instruction in various styles, including classical, rock, and jazz. We also offer lessons on electric and upright bass, drum set, percussion, and hand drums.

Voice Lessons

Our voice lessons are designed for students ages eleven and above who are interested in singing or improving their singing voice. Our instructors use established vocal exercises, breathing techniques, and posture to develop a physiologically correct technique for using the voice.

Ensembles and Group Programs

In addition to private lessons, we offer group instruction in jazz and rock bands, guitar ensemble, introduction to singing, and percussion-drums. These programs provide students with the opportunity to develop their teamwork and communication skills while making music with others.

Recitals and Performances

Throughout the year, we hold several recitals and performances in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, showcasing the talents of our students. These events provide our students with the opportunity to perform in front of an audience and gain valuable performance experience.

School Policies and Fees

We have a straightforward policy regarding tuition and payments. Our annual registration fee is $20 for individual students and $30 for families with multiple students. Tuition payments are due prior to each 12-week semester of the school year. We offer discounted rates for multiple lessons and family plans.
