Our Team

Our team is comprised of experienced professionals who are dedicated to providing exceptional service to our clients. Our team includes:

• Lois Freedman, Certified Public Accountant, who began her career in the late 1970s as an industry accountant. Lois has an B.S. degree in Accounting from The College of New Jersey, and an M.B.A. in Finance from Pace University. She joined Marc B. Freedman, CPA, P.C. in January of 1990 and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants.

• Marc Freedman, Certified Public Accountant, who founded Marc B. Freedman, CPA, P.C. in January of 1985. Marc has a B.A. in Philosophy from Bowdoin College, did graduate work at Harvard University, and received his M.B.A. in accounting from Pace University. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants.

• Jocelyn (Josie) Gutierrez, who joined the firm in January 2018. Josie has extensive prior experience including management accounting and has a BA in accounting from Hunter College in New York City. She is instrumental in our preparation of guardianship reports, client write-ups, and in our tax practice.
