Welcome to the Veterinary Medical Clinic, where we believe that healthy pets are happy pets. Located at 1603 Broadway Ave in Yankton, SD, we have been operating for over 30 years. Our clinic is owned by veterinarian Dr. James Pajl and his wife Martha. We offer a variety of services including surgical procedures, internal medicine care, laboratory services, grooming, and boarding. Each staff member is committed to providing a superior level of client education, assistance, and medical care. We strive to give our patients the utmost care and service they deserve.

Our Services

We are committed to caring for your loved ones, and we understand your four-legged friends are more than just pets, they're family. Our services include Surgical Services/Hospitalization, where we offer a variety of surgical procedures by appointment Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday mornings. We also provide internal medicine care for your pet. Additionally, we perform a variety of laboratory services to ensure your pet is as healthy as possible. Our Grooming Service is very popular, so please call to set up an appointment in advance or book your next appointment upon pick-up. We also offer Boarding services, where we can house your pets when you have to leave home, giving them the most comfortable stay possible.

Meet Our Staff

Our staff is comprised of animal lovers, hard workers, and professionals. Mackenzie is our recently graduated high school intern who is a great help around the clinic. Liz is a valuable member at the clinic, known for her caring nature and eagerness to learn. Kendra is our part-time employee who helps out in any way she can. Dr. James M. Pajl is the owner of the Veterinary Medical Clinic and graduated from Kansas State University in the College of Veterinary Medicine, class of '83. Martha Pajl is the office manager and the backbone of the bookkeeping end of the business. Hailey is our front desk receptionist and veterinary assistant.
