Child Care Aware River Valley

Child Care Aware of NWA is a non-profit organization dedicated to serving families and child care providers in Northwest Arkansas, the River Valley, and Southcentral Arkansas. Our mission is to enhance the well-being of children and families by providing free referrals to community resources and child care services. We support both parents and caregivers by offering parenting classes, child care provider education, training, and professional development opportunities.

Child Care Aware of NWA hosts the Healthy Families Benton County Home Visiting Program, which offers vital support and resources to new parents and families in the area. Our team of experienced professionals works tirelessly to promote the health, safety, and development of children while empowering families and caregivers with the tools and knowledge they need to succeed.

Services for Families

Finding child care is a crucial decision for any family, and it can often be a stressful and overwhelming process. We provide families with the resources they need to make informed decisions about child care options. Our referral services span 17 counties, ensuring that families have access to quality care regardless of their location.

In addition to referral services, we offer a range of parenting classes designed to promote healthy child development and strengthen family relationships. These classes cover a variety of topics, such as positive discipline, child development milestones, and building strong family bonds. We believe that empowering parents with knowledge and skills is essential to fostering a nurturing and supportive environment for children.

Services for Providers

We recognize that opening and maintaining a child care business can be challenging. That's why we offer a wide range of support and resources for providers. From pre-licensing registration and compliance assistance to professional development opportunities, we help ensure that providers are equipped to offer high-quality care and education to the children they serve.

Our CPR training and certification courses provide providers with the necessary skills to respond effectively in emergencies, ensuring the safety and well-being of the children in their care. Additionally, our CDA conference forms and provider update forms allow providers to maintain their credentials and stay up-to-date on the latest industry best practices.

Healthy Families Benton County Home Visiting Program

The Healthy Families Benton County Home Visiting Program is a vital component of our organization's mission to support families. This program pairs new parents with trained professionals who provide support, resources, and guidance during the critical first few years of a child's life. Our home visitors help families navigate the challenges of parenthood, promote healthy child development, and connect families to community resources.

Our Locations

We operate out of two primary locations: our Rogers office serves Northwest Arkansas, while our Fort Smith office serves the River Valley and Southcentral Arkansas. Each location offers a variety of services to both families and providers in their respective regions.
