Recent Projects

Some of our recent projects showcase our commitment to innovative design, sustainable materials, and exceptional craftsmanship. These include:

• Sea Cliff Remodel: This project involved transforming a 1946 home in Sea Cliff with modern aesthetics while addressing water damage and dry rot. We installed a long-span header, allowing for a 12ft continuous operable sliding door panel, and used laser-cut powder-coated aluminum panels as a shade canopy. The redwood siding was sourced from Arborica, a local provider of salvaged lumber.

• Burlingame Horizontal Addition: This project added 800 new square feet to an existing home, removing a structural wall to create a stronger connection between the kitchen and dining room. New lighting, cabinetry, and countertops were installed throughout the spaces, and two bathrooms were also remodeled as part of the project.

• Dolores Addition: This vertical addition project in the Dolores Heights neighborhood in San Francisco created an East-facing sunroom at the rear of the home, highlighting incredible 180-degree views of downtown.

• Sunset Vertical Addition: This four-story remodel in the SF Sunset neighborhood involved adding four terraces in the rear yard and building out the entire basement level with rear yard access. A full-to-the-studs gut was completed throughout the 3400 square foot space, and the master bath soaking tub features a glass corner offering views of the ocean.

• Glass Box in DC: This contemporary restaurant remodel project received both the 2017 Award of Merit from the Washington DC AIA and the 2017 Pacific Coast Gold Nugget Grand Prize. The restaurant features electrochromic glass, which can change from pitch black to ultra clear with the flip of a switch, and is essential in achieving a clean look while avoiding heat gain and preserving views to the historic National Post Office Courtyard.
