Empowering Health, Naturally, One Patient at a Time

Butler Chiropractic & Acupuncture, Ltd. was founded in 1998 with the intention of providing individualized treatment for each patient. For over 25 years, we have continued with this philosophy, delivering quality, one-on-one care to each patient. Our chiropractic, acupuncture, cupping, and massage therapy treatments are tailored to each patient's pressure and sensitivity thresholds, thereby allowing for comfortable, yet effective progress. We also work with the patient on lifestyle, ergonomics, and active care for prevention.

Our Healing Team

Our dedicated team is led by Dr. Ronda Butler, who founded Butler Chiropractic & Acupuncture, Ltd. in 1998. Dr. Butler received her undergraduate training at The Ohio State University and then went on to complete her Doctor of Chiropractic and Acupuncture training at National College of Chiropractic in Lombard, IL. Dr. Butler believes that most conditions will heal themselves without the use of drugs or surgery. Alternative healing techniques, such as the ones offered at Butler Chiropractic & Acupuncture, Ltd., assist patients with natural, whole healing.

Dr. Butler became interested in Chiropractic as a healing art through her father, who is a retired Chiropractor. She started working at her father's office at the age of 13.

Acupuncture

Acupuncture is an ancient healing technique that utilizes very thin metallic needles to balance the body's internal energy or qi (chee). It works by stimulating the autonomic nervous system, which governs the healing and regeneration of every living cell in the body. It also triggers the release of endorphins, the brain's pain-stopping hormones. Acupuncture can increase blood circulation, relax muscle spasms, reduce pain, and stimulate nerve activity. Needles are used to direct the flow of the body's energy ("Qi") so that blockage, excess, or deficiency may be balanced, and health restored.

Is Acupuncture safe? Acupuncture needles are sterile and disposable. In the hands of a licensed acupuncturist, your safety is assured.

What is Qi? The ancient Chinese recognized a vital energy behind all life forms and life processes. They called this energy "Qi" (pronounced chee). Qi is the energy that fuels all biological, mental, and emotional processes in the body. The term "Qi" not only refers to the energy that fuels all physiological functions, it refers to the essential intelligence that underlies and directs these functions. In developing an understanding of the prevention and cure of disease, Chinese medical practitioners discovered that Qi flows along specific pathways called channels. Along each channel, there are acupuncture points where the Qi can be accessed. Each channel is associated with a particular physiological system and internal organ. Disease arises due to a deficiency, excess, or imbalance of Qi in the meridians and their associated physiological systems.
