Who We Are

Shaffer Buck Insurance is a local, family-owned business that values community service and integrity. Our team is led by Aaron Buck, the fourth generation to carry on the tradition at Shaffer Buck Insurance. Aaron has worked in the insurance industry since he was 16 and has a deep understanding of the needs of our clients. He is committed to providing the same level of service and care that his predecessors, Charlie, Gordon, and Dan, provided before him.

Aaron is a past President of the Caldwell Rotary Club and is involved in other local charity efforts. He is married to Rachel and enjoys outdoor activities, physical challenges, and spending time with his golden retriever Ali and Yorkie, affectionately referred to as "Rowdy".

Our History

Shaffer Buck Insurance has been a part of the Caldwell community for over a century. We have been providing personalized insurance solutions since 1906, taking some of the risk out of life for Idaho families. Our goal has always been to meet the complex insurance needs of each of our clients by getting to know them and their hopes for the future.

As independent agents, we have always worked for our clients, not for an insurance company. This means we can offer unbiased advice and tailor insurance plans to your specific situation. Our clients have come to rely on us for personalized solutions, reasonable prices, friendly and reliable customer service, and ongoing support.

In June of 2022, Aaron Buck purchased the agency from Dan and now runs the ins and outs. We are excited to continue the long tradition of caring for our clients and community in the same fashion that Charlie, Gordon, and Dan did before him.
