Our Services

Van Horn Engineering offers a variety of services to cater to your needs. Whether you're looking to understand your property boundaries or develop your land, we have the expertise and resources to assist you.

1. Land Survey Plat (LSP): An LSP shows only the boundary lines, easements, and right-of-ways. With an LSP, the property corners are found and re-established if missing. Optional information may include easements as disclosed in a title commitment (not required but recommended). The completed survey follows Colorado Revised Statute and is recorded with the County, becoming public record.

2. Improvement Survey Plat (ISP): An ISP shows the location of all structures, visible utilities, easements, and right-of-ways. With an ISP, the property corners are found and re-established if missing. Optional information may include easements as disclosed in a title commitment (not required but recommended). The completed survey follows Colorado Revised Statute and is recorded with the County, becoming public record.

3. Site Plan: There are two kinds of Site Plans; Existing Conditions Site Plan and Proposed Conditions Site Plan. An Existing Conditions Site Plan shows the placement of everything currently on the vacant lot, such as trees and visible utilities. A Proposed Conditions Site Plan shows where the possible location of a house is to be built. The Proposed Conditions Site Plan is the final product that will get turned into the County for a permit in order to start building.

4. Septic Design: While working with the excavator of your choice, we design septic systems for your new home, ensuring it meets all local health department regulations.

At Van Horn Engineering & Surveying, we are committed to delivering high-quality services and ensuring our clients' satisfaction. Whether you need to understand your property boundaries or develop your land, we are here to help.
