Children's Theatre Of Elgin

Children's Theatre of Elgin/Fox Valley Theatre Company is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization based in Elgin, Illinois. We have been providing a unique opportunity for children and youth to participate in the performing arts for over three decades. Our mission is to create a place where all individuals have an equitable opportunity to learn, grow, and enrich their lives through theatre.

Our organization has been a staple in the community, offering a range of programs and services that cater to children and youth from 2nd to 12th grade. We have two troupes, Children's Theatre of Elgin (CTE) and Fox Valley Theatre Company (FVTC), which provide a platform for young people to develop their creative skills and build confidence.

Our History

We have a rich history of producing high-quality shows, touring, and providing educational programs. We have received numerous awards and recognition for our dedication to the performing arts and our commitment to promoting a positive image of Elgin. Our production history dates back to 1988, when our first show, Snow White, was performed.

Our Programs

We offer a variety of programs and services to cater to different age groups and interests. Our programs include:

• CTE: Provides performing arts opportunities for children and youth in 2nd to 9th grade.
• FVTC: Provides performing arts opportunities for youth and young adults in 9th grade to 20 years.
• Workshops: Provides educational experiences for young people to develop their creative skills.
• Tours: We take our shows on tour to various locations, providing opportunities for young performers to gain experience and exposure.

Our Troupes

We have two troupes that cater to different age groups and skill levels:

• Children's Theatre of Elgin (CTE): For children and youth in 2nd to 9th grade.
• Fox Valley Theatre Company (FVTC): For youth and young adults in 9th grade to 20 years.

Our Board of Directors

Our board of directors is comprised of committed and dedicated individuals who govern both CTE and FVTC. Our board members are responsible for making strategic decisions to ensure the continued growth and success of our organization.

Our Volunteers
