Legend CrossFit, LLC, established in 2008 by Joey Pietri, stands as one of the pioneering CrossFit gyms in Idaho. We take immense pride in serving a diverse community of athletes and clients, regardless of their background or experience level. Our welcoming environment embraces individuals of all ages, catering to members and guests ranging from 6 to 70 years young, who share a common desire to live active and fulfilling lives.
Our Exceptional Team of Coaches
At Legend CrossFit, our dedicated team of coaches is passionate about guiding our members on their fitness journeys, fostering a supportive and inspiring atmosphere.
- Joey Pietri: Founder and Level 2 CrossFit Certified Coach, Joey has been an integral part of the McCall community since the early 1970s. His extensive experience in construction and his involvement in the local youth football scene
have instilled in him a deep commitment to helping others achieve their goals. Joey also founded the Youth Optimist program in McCall and spent many years coaching various levels of football. He currently serves as the Players Safety Coach and Acting Director for the Optimist Youth Program.
- Cheyenne Pietri: Co-Owner and Head Coach, Cheyenne brings a wealth of experience coaching athletes at the highest levels. His impressive clientele includes NFL Pro Bowlers, UFC Hall of Famers, and First Descent Alpinists, showcasing his expertise in training individuals across diverse disciplines.
- Emily Wilson: Coach Emily, a lifelong resident of McCall, has been shaping young minds through gymnastics coaching since she was just 10 years old. Her journey with fitness spans numerous movement disciplines, culminating in completing her CrossFit Level 2 certification in 2012 after taking her first class at Legend in 2009. With a degree in Kinesiology and Exercise Science from Boise State University, Emily guides classes, conducts private sessions, and is dedicated to helping members achieve optimal fitness.
- Tony Day: Coach Tony is a licensed Physical Therapist who brings a unique perspective to coaching. Passionate about injury prevention, Tony empowers individuals to overcome challenges and achieve goals they previously thought unattainable.
- Angel Hudson: Coach Angel, a dedicated first-grade teacher in the McCall-Donnelly school district for over a decade, finds fulfillment in cultivating a love for movement in people of all ages. A former collegiate athlete, Angel's passion for sports extends beyond the classroom. She competed in both tennis and cross-country during her college years and brings that competitive spirit to Legend CrossFit, encouraging her students to reach their full potential.
- Jesse DeMoss: Coach Jesse, an artist by trade, has discovered a profound connection through the art of movement. He seamlessly integrates his fitness knowledge gained through CrossFit into his martial arts training, constantly pushing boundaries and seeking innovative ways to enhance his practice. Jesse is a valuable asset to the Legend CrossFit community, contributing his unique skills and enthusiasm.
- Ryan Heywood: Coach Ryan is a Level 2 CrossFit Trainer and a certified UESCA Ultra Running Coach. When not coaching or meticulously designing workout programs, Ryan dedicates his time to ultra-distance running, ski touring, and skate skiing. His commitment to pushing his own limits inspires others to challenge themselves and strive for greatness.
- Shawn Donnelly: Stand-in Wildfire Coach Shawn brings a unique perspective to the coaching team, balancing his passion for fitness with his vital role as a wildfire protection specialist. When he's not safeguarding our forests, Shawn revels in the rugged beauty of McCall, enjoying skiing, snowmobiling, and training whenever he can.
