A Legacy of Experience

Petranka Contracting's roots run deep within the Montgomery, Alabama community. In 1969, our founder, Joe Petranka, embarked on his journey in the electrical industry, apprenticing under the esteemed Griffin T. Key PE. He earned his Master Electricians Certificate in 1977 and spent over two decades designing and overseeing the installation of electrical systems capable of handling up to 15KV. Joe was a visionary leader, among the first in the River Region to usher in innovations like energy-saving lighting systems and the installation of copper and fiber optic networks, as far back as the 1970s and 1980s.

Today, Petranka Contracting boasts a remarkable 80 years of combined experience across its management team. Oscar Garcia, our Estimating Supervisor, and Danny Rylant, our Electrical Supervisor, have been integral to our success for over two decades, steadfastly delivering the highest level of excellence alongside Joe.
