At Capstone, we understand the complexities of financial planning for college-bound families. We've been in your shoes, and that's why we founded our firm to provide personalized financial advice and guidance. Our story began with our struggles to find good financial advice at large national firms. They were too focused on selling products rather than providing genuine guidance. We wanted to change that. In 2009, we took the leap and formed an independent fee-only practice, dedicated to serving the needs of college-bound families.

Meet our team of experts, led by our Co-founder and Director of College Planning, Joe Messinger. With over 20 years of financial services experience, Joe is a certified financial planner (CFP), chartered financial consultant (ChFC), chartered life underwriter (CLU), and certified college financial consultant (CCFC). Joe is a renowned authority on late-stage college funding and has spoken at numerous industry conferences. He has also been featured in prominent publications such as The Journal for Financial Planning, Financial Advisor Magazine, US News, and Bloomberg.
