Generational Expertise

Our company's legacy is built upon three generations of construction expertise. O.L. DePriest, our founder, laid the foundation for the business in 1949, passing his knowledge and passion for quality craftsmanship onto his son-in-law, Keith Hard. Keith joined the company shortly after marrying his daughter, Linda DePriest Hard, and became a partner, working side-by-side with O.L. until his retirement in 1975. Linda, a cornerstone of our operation, contributed significantly through her dedication to bookkeeping, payroll management, and readily assisting wherever needed.

Jeff Hard, O.L.'s grandson, entered the business world working weekends and summers alongside his father during his high school years and transitioned to full-time employment after graduation. Jeff expanded his expertise by working for a renowned commercial building contractor in the Colorado Springs and Denver areas, where he honed his skills as a job site superintendent for over 20 years. In 2008, Jeff returned to his roots in the San Luis Valley, joining his father to build custom homes and cabins in the breathtaking mountain landscape of southern Colorado.

With this rich tapestry of experience - O.L.'s 35 years of diverse construction experience, Keith's lifetime career in construction, and Jeff's extensive 25 years in commercial construction and 12 years in residential construction - DePriest Construction LLC is uniquely positioned to handle a wide spectrum of building projects.
