Mil's River Shore Cottages & Motel

Nestled on the stunning St. Lawrence River, Mils Cottages & Motel has been a family vacation destination since 1948. Our vacation spot offers a comfortable stay and provides everything you need for a memorable summer holiday or a successful fishing trip. We have a wide range of accommodations to suit every traveler's needs. Our six-unit poolside motel is perfect for those who prefer a more traditional hotel-style stay, while our fourteen 1, 2 or 3 bedroom waterfront housekeeping cottages offer a more private and spacious experience. All of our cottages are equipped with modern furnishings, individually controlled thermostats, and a view of the majestic St. Lawrence River. Most of our cottages also have either a screened-in porch or an open-air deck, perfect for watching the activity on the river, enjoying the sun and breeze, and even having dinner under the stars.

Boat Rentals & River Activities

For your sporting pleasure, we offer boat and motor rentals with daily and weekly dockage. Whether you're an experienced boater or a beginner, we have the perfect boat for you. We also have a swimming pool, basketball court, horseshoes, and ping pong. And, of course, there is always plenty to do on the river; the most popular activities include water skiing, fishing, swimming, and boating.

Nearby Attractions

Located only 2 miles from downtown Clayton, we're only minutes away from various attractions. Visit the Antique Boat Museum, Thousand Islands Museum, Thousand Islands Arts Center, Clayton Opera House, Clayton Island Tours, Cerow Recreation Park Arena, Coyote Moon Vineyards, Northern Flow Vineyards, St. Lawrence Spirits Distillery, a public boat launch, several golf courses, and a variety of restaurants and boutique shops. Across the street, you'll find a miniature golf course and bumper boats as well as the Clayton Distillery. During the summer, there are many family-friendly events taking place. We're also approximately 5 miles from the Thousand Islands Bridge which takes you to Canada (passports required) and the Thousand Islands Winery. The famous Boldt Castle and Uncle Sam Boat Tours are just 9 miles away in Alexandria Bay.

Our Cottages

Our rivershore cottages are equipped with a 4-burner gas cooktop, apartment-sized fridge with a freezer, toaster, coffeepot, pots, pans, dishes, silverware, bed linens, propane heat, and hot baths/showers. Screened-porches or decks are also available for your enjoyment. However, please note that TV, A/C or fans, bath towels, washcloths, toiletries, and microwaves are not provided. We have a strict no pets, subleasing of cottages, overnight guests that exceed cottage capacity, loud music or parties policy.

Rates and Deposits

Our cottage rates vary depending on the season and size of the cottage. A non-refundable deposit of $200 is required upon booking, which is applied towards the cost of your stay. Our cancellation policy requires two weeks notice for a full refund, inside of two weeks, one night's rental will be charged. Multiple room reservations inside of two weeks will be charged 50% of the entire cost. The number of days reserved is what you are required to pay for, regardless of your departure date or reason for leaving early.
