Company Overview
Premier Millwork and Lumber Co., Inc. was established in 1950 by Paul Gallup as a small custom millwork company on Birdneck Road in Virginia Beach, Virginia. In 1974, George R. Melnyk, Sr. purchased Premier and in 1984, identifying the company's commercial and residential job growth, moved the business to its present location on Viking Drive. Since 1950, Premier Millwork has grown from a company with a few employees to now employing more than 50 full-time employees. We have also extended our business opportunities along the east coast. Throughout the 70 years of business, Premier Millwork has provided the highest quality millwork for commercial and residential projects. We have established a reputation along the eastern seaboard for providing "Millwork of Distinction" and are an AWI certified manufacturer. Our dedicated employees, impressive finished custom carpentry, and diversity of projects have brought Premier Millwork to where we are today. These same factors are what will carry us successfully into the future.

Our Master carpenters have years of experience in producing meticulously executed projects, from custom cabinetry to breathtaking circular staircases. We pride ourselves on the fact that a majority of our company's senior team members have dedicated 20 to 30 years of service to our industry. This corporate and industry experience, professional knowledge, and committed leadership is the reason we produce high-quality work, decade after decade.
