Our Services

At Old Farm Gynecology, we offer a wide range of services to address various women's health issues. These include:

• Robotic Hysterectomy: A minimally invasive surgical procedure that removes the uterus, often performed to treat conditions such as endometriosis, uterine fibroids, cancer of the uterus, cervix or ovaries, abnormal or irregular menstruation, and uterine prolapse. Dr. Brown is one of the first physicians in the Rocky Mountain area to begin using the Da Vinci Robot to perform surgeries and is an original member of the Utah Institute for Robotic Surgery at St. Mark's Hospital.

• Laparoscopy/Minimally Invasive Surgery: A surgical technique in which a laparoscope (a thin, lighted tube with a camera) is inserted through one or more small incisions in the abdomen. This allows the surgeon to view the organs and tissues on a video monitor and perform the necessary repairs or removals.

• Pelvic Relaxation Stress Incontinence: A condition in which the muscles and tissues in the pelvic area weaken, leading to urinary incontinence. Dr. Brown offers various treatments for this condition, including the Sling Procedure for Urinary Incontinence.

• Abnormal Pap Smear: A test that screens for abnormal cells in the cervix that could potentially develop into cancer if left untreated. Dr. Brown and his staff are skilled in diagnosing and treating abnormal pap smears.

• Endometriosis: A condition in which tissue similar to the lining of the uterus grows outside the uterus, leading to pain, heavy bleeding, and other symptoms. Dr. Brown offers various treatments for endometriosis, including minimally invasive surgery.

• Ovarian Cysts: Fluid-filled sacs that form on the ovaries. While most ovarian cysts are harmless, some can cause problems if they rupture, cause bleeding, or lead to infertility. Dr. Brown is experienced in diagnosing and treating ovarian cysts.

• Abdominal Pain & Pelvic Pain: Pain in the lower abdomen or pelvic area can be caused by various factors, including menstrual cramps, endometriosis, or infection. Dr. Brown will work with you to diagnose the cause of your pain and develop an appropriate treatment plan.

• Irregular and Heavy Periods: Abnormal bleeding patterns can be caused by various factors, including hormonal imbalances, polyps, or fibroids. Dr. Brown offers various treatments for irregular and heavy periods, including endometrial ablations.

• Gynecology/Women's Health: Dr. Brown and his staff are dedicated to providing comprehensive women's health care, including routine check-ups, contraception, and treatment for various gynecologic conditions.

• Contraception & Birth Control: Dr. Brown offers various contraception and birth control options, including IUD & Birth Control Implant Insertion (NEXPLANON).

• PMS: Premenstrual syndrome is a set of physical, emotional, and behavioral symptoms that occur in the premenstrual phase of a woman's menstrual cycle. Dr. Brown is experienced in diagnosing and treating PMS.
