At Shatara Architecture, we specialize in mixed-use residential and commercial condominiums, new construction condominiums, conversions, single-family custom homes, restoration of historically significant buildings, hospitality spaces, tenant improvement (office, commercial, and retail), restaurants, cafes, gourmet delis, industrial and warehouses, religious and cultural institutions, and commercial and custom residential interiors.
We have a thorough understanding of Bay Area building codes and the required departmental agencies, allowing us to efficiently process projects while balancing creativity and innovation with pragmatism and experience. Our design philosophy emphasizes creating functional and elegant spaces that enhance the human experience.
Historic Preservation
Shatara Architecture specializes in handling historical restorations and renovations with the utmost care and attention to detail. We believe that preserving cultural heritage is essential, and for eleven years, Suheil Shatara was an active member of the San Francisco Landmarks Advisory Board. During his tenure, he consistently and actively supported the preservation of the city's architectural and cultural heritage.
Experimental Projects
At Shatara Architecture, we revel in the opportunity to forge unique and innovative concepts by introducing technical solutions for energy, light, and air alongside natural elements. We are committed to exploring new ideas and technologies, and this commitment is reflected in the firm's humanitarian projects relating to emergency shelters and experimental ecosystems.
