El Mecanico Truck and Auto was founded in 2009 by two brothers, Eliseo and Frelic Tapis, who immigrated to the United States from Mexico. They saw an opportunity to establish a mechanic shop that could cater to the Latino community in Livermore, CA, and provide a language-friendly experience. Starting with just two bays and two workers, the business has grown exponentially to five bays and a larger staff, becoming a staple in the community.
