Our Story

The TRUFAST Wall product line, previously known as Rodenhouse, Inc., stands as a testament to invention and commitment to building performance. Founded in 1993 by Robert Rodenhouse, a driven aeronautical engineer, the company emerged with a singular purpose: to revolutionize the fastening systems used for exterior building envelopes and facades. Mr. Rodenhouse's vision centered primarily around developing innovative rigid foam insulation fasteners, targeting the burgeoning EIFS (Exterior Insulation and Finish System) and one-coat polymer modified stucco industries.

Rodenhouse's initial offerings expanded beyond insulation fasteners to encompass washers for wire & stucco lath attachments, foam core tile backer board, and plaster repair solutions. The company's early days were characterized by an unwavering dedication to quality and innovation, with Mr. Rodenhouse personally overseeing every aspect of the business, from stamping out washers to making local deliveries.

Over the years, Rodenhouse witnessed tremendous growth, transforming from a small operation into a vibrant company with a dedicated staff, multiple cavity stamping presses, and state-of-the-art injection molding capabilities. This growth, however, never diluted the company's core values of innovation and customer satisfaction.

In 2017, Rodenhouse was strategically acquired by Altenloh, Brinck & Co. (ABC), a renowned leader in the fastener manufacturing industry. This acquisition marked a significant milestone, uniting Rodenhouse's expertise in specialist building envelope fastening with ABC's vast experience in residential building and roofing fasteners under the SPAX and TRUFAST brands, respectively.
