At Mariposa Bilingual School, we believe that language education is a significant influence in the life of a child. Our program is designed to stimulate a child's drive for exploration and discovery by motivating them with early education that is full of accomplishment and joy. We offer a variety of developmentally appropriate activities recognizing the individual needs and differences of children. Our goal is to provide a nurturing and supportive community of children, parents, and teachers, helping your child grow into the person you know they can be.

Our Mission

Our mission is to provide a Spanish language immersion program that is tailored to the needs of children from ages 2 to 5 years old. We strive to provide a fully-immersive and highly-stimulating bilingual experience that engages the whole child. Our talented teachers, consisting of native Spanish-speakers and native English-speakers, provide a comprehensive early childhood education that focuses on the development of a child's social, physical, intellectual, creative, and emotional growth.

Our Staff

Our teachers hold degrees in Early Childhood Education as well as Spanish Education. They have spent many years teaching in multi-cultural, multi-lingual environments. Our staff is dedicated to providing a positive and stimulating environment that fosters children's natural curiosity and love for learning.

Our Program

Our bilingual program is designed to engage children in a variety of activities that promote language development, cognitive growth, and socialization. Our curriculum includes activities such as art, music, dance, reading, writing, and imaginative play. Our experienced teachers spend one-on-one time with each child, helping them learn the Spanish language and concepts.

Why Spanish?

We chose to focus on Spanish because it is a widely spoken language with over 350 million speakers around the world. Spanish is the second-most spoken language in California, and Spanish speakers make up more than 20 percent of the Bay Area's population. Learning the language is a key step in appreciating any culture, and we strive to bring that experience to your child in daily activities that make the process fun for them.

A Space to Thrive and Learn

Our facilities boast clean and spacious indoor and outdoor areas that are stocked with many fun items for imaginative play. We encourage children to be creative and expressive by supplying them with toys that develop dexterity and other vital skills. We also provide structured time to participate in activities such as music, dance, theater, and art. Our learning environment is designed to stimulate the whole child and help them develop a love for learning.
