Welcome to Sunburst Childcare Center, where we strive to provide the best possible care and education for children ages 4 weeks to 11 years. Our mission is to create a safe and nurturing environment where children can engage in developmentally appropriate learning activities, develop self-discipline, and learn healthy patterns of interaction with others. Sunburst Childcare Center has been serving the Vernal, UT community since 1997. We are licensed for 125 children and have 11 different classrooms, each designed to meet the unique needs of the children in our care. Our staff is dedicated to providing the highest quality care and education, and we are committed to ongoing training and development to ensure that we are meeting the latest standards and best practices in the field of early childhood education.

Our Services

At Sunburst Childcare Center, we offer a range of services to meet the needs of families in our community. Our services include:

• Childcare: We provide care for children ages 4 weeks to 11 years, with flexible scheduling options to meet the needs of working parents. Our childcare services include full-time, part-time, and drop-in options.
• Preschool: Our preschool program is designed to prepare children for kindergarten and beyond. We offer a range of developmentally appropriate learning activities, including reading, writing, math, science, and art. Our preschool program is structured to provide a balance of structured learning and free play, allowing children to explore and learn at their own pace.
• School-Age Care: We offer before and after school care for school-age children, as well as care on days when school is not in session. Our school-age care program includes a range of activities, including homework help, sports, arts and crafts, and field trips.

Our Staff

Our staff is the heart of Sunburst Childcare Center. We are proud to have a team of dedicated, caring professionals who are committed to providing the highest quality care and education for children. Our staff includes:

• Shawnie Mayes, Director: Shawnie has a Bachelor of Child Studies and a CDA (Child Development Associate) with a preschool endorsement. She has been our Director for 9 years.
• Sarah Green, Assistant Director: Sarah has a CDA (Child Development Associate) with a preschool endorsement.
• Julie Harrison, Assistant Director: Julie is working toward her CDA with a infant/toddler endorsement.
