MacArthur Park Restaurant, named after a Jimmy Webb song, has been a neighborhood favorite in Palo Alto since it first opened in 1981. Our restaurant is located in a historic colonial-style building that has been beautifully restored to maintain its original charm. Our Story
Our restaurant has a rich history dating back to World War I, when it originally served as a Hostess House for visiting families of Armed Forces members. Over the years, it has served as a Community Center, a Veterans Hall, and now, once again, as the beloved MacArthur Park Restaurant. Our current leadership, led by Chef Faz Poursohi, is dedicated to preserving the building's historic charm while offering a revitalized menu that is sure to satisfy any palate.

Food Quality
The food quality at this restaurant has been a major concern for many reviewers. Lucy and Dave Rogers both described the food as terrible, with dry meat and subpar pasta. Ron Colyer found the food to be mediocre at best. However, Iko Nakari, Brandon Bakhtiar, and Anne Carr had positive experiences with the food, with Nakari describing the steak as well-aged and flavorful, and Bakhtiar and Carr raving about the calamari and service.
