Preferred Insulation, Inc. was established in 2001 by its current owner, Mike Behun, with a modest starting capital of $300 and a dream to build a successful insulation contracting business. Mike's experience in the industry dates back to 1996, where he spent three years as an installer, before moving into a management/sales position at Heartland Insulation. His leadership skills and commitment to delivering top-notch services allowed him to operate a crew of eight installers for two years.

Fast forward to the present day, Preferred Insulation, Inc. has grown to become one of the largest multifamily insulation contractors in the United States, serving clients in multiple states, including Ohio, Pennsylvania, Indiana, Kentucky, West Virginia, Michigan, Maryland, New York, and North Carolina. Our headquarters is located in Medina, Ohio, and we operate from Monday to Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. EST.
