Welcome to Sincerely Cecilia Photography! I'm Cecilia, a passionate photographer dedicated to capturing the genuine essence of my subjects. My journey began when I inherited my family friend's film camera at age 19. Armed with curiosity and a desire to learn, I embarked on a photographic exploration. Despite countless ruined rolls of film, I persevered, honing my skills and developing my artistic vision. My mother, a former art teacher, played a pivotal role in shaping my photographic eye. She unknowingly imparted in me an ability to instinctively arrange colors and shapes, a talent that found its perfect expression through the lens of a camera.

In 2000, I took the plunge and became a professional photographer. My very first paid gig was a surprise 80th birthday party for a grandmother; a heartwarming experience that cemented my love for documenting life's special moments. Over the years, my craft has evolved, taking me from those early days to the breathtaking landscapes of Sonoma County and the vibrant energy of New York City, a city that holds a special place in my heart.

I pride myself on being a candid and attentive photographer. My approach is centered around observing my subjects in their natural state and capturing those fleeting moments of pure emotion. I believe in guiding and encouraging my clients to feel comfortable and relaxed, but I never force them into unnatural poses or expressions.
