We are a dynamic duo, combining Jennifer Hardin's creative mind and photography skills with David Whatley's 44 years of photography and business experience. Our Team

Jennifer Hardin, also known as Jen, takes great joy in creating beautiful portraits filled with emotions and heartfelt connections. Her quirky personality helps clients feel at ease during their session, and her fun and relaxed approach allows her to bring out the best in even the most camera-shy individuals.

David Whatley is the traditionalist of the team, bringing his wealth of experience in photography and business to the table. Together, Jennifer and David make an odd yet perfect pair, delivering more than just beautiful photos.

Our family portrait sessions are designed to capture the love and joy of your family. We understand that families come in all shapes and sizes, and we strive to create a welcoming and comfortable environment for everyone.

Our boudoir sessions are all about empowering women and capturing their beauty and confidence. We provide a safe and comfortable environment for our clients, allowing them to feel sexy and confident in front of the camera.

Our senior portrait sessions are designed to capture this exciting time in your life. We understand that this is a milestone in your life, and we strive to create portraits that you'll treasure for years to come.

Studio Policies

At As We Were Photography, we have established policies to help us run our studio in an efficient and consistent manner. We kindly ask that you familiarize yourself with these policies before your session.

We require a non-refundable session retainer to book and reserve your date. For specials or mini sessions, the entire amount, which is non-refundable, is required to book and reserve your date. Please be on time for your session, and if possible, try to arrive ten minutes before your scheduled time. We accept various forms of payment, including cash, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, and personal checks. Payment plans are also available.

In the event it is necessary for you to cancel your session, we require a 48-hour notice. You may reschedule your session if proper notice has been given, and paid funds will be credited towards your future session.

Investment

Custom photography is an investment that lasts a lifetime. A portrait session with As We Were Photography is the perfect way to preserve fleeting moments as beautiful works of art. Retainer fees reserve your spot, cover our time and travel within the DFW area to/from your session location(s), and provide custom retouching to your final set of portraits. Retainer fees are due in full at the time of booking and are non-refundable.

We believe that every client is unique, and we strive to create an amazing experience that goes beyond just beautiful photos. Our customers normally spend an average of $600 - $2,200, based on their order. Please contact us for more pricing information.
