Explore the Art of Printmaking
Mullowney Printing is a versatile and dynamic print studio located in the heart of Portland, Oregon. Established in 2011, the studio has been dedicated to publishing traditional print media, including etching, relief, photogravure, direct gravure, screen printing, and letterpress editions, by leading contemporary artists. At Mullowney Printing, we believe in the power of print and its ability to communicate complex ideas and emotions through tactile and visual means.
Our team, led by founder and co-director Paul Mullowney, has extensive experience in the printmaking field. After becoming a master printer at Crown Point Press in San Francisco in 1990, Mullowney went on to run studios in Japan and Maui, Hawaii. He has taught at Pacific Northwest College of Art and San Francisco Art Institute, as well as at numerous printmaking workshops in America and Japan.
In addition to our publishing arm, Mullowney Printing offers a range of community workshops, internships, residency programs, contract printing, and public exhibitions. We are committed to fostering a vibrant and supportive print community by providing opportunities for learning, experimentation, and collaboration.
