Our History

Brainerd's first undertaking firm was established in 1882 by Mr. Albert E. Losey. Over the years, the business has undergone several changes, with new undertakers joining and eventually taking over the business. In 1924, B. C. McNamara took over the undertaking business and renamed it Nelson-Doran Funeral Home. Today, we're proud to be a family-owned and operated business, serving the Brainerd/Baxter area for over 135 years.
