Our Mission
Brick City Strength is more than just a training facility; it's a community-oriented space where education of the mind, body, and spirit is held as the ultimate goal. Our coaches, Jerry and Veronica Andrews, have dedicated their lives to helping individuals achieve their fitness goals and living a healthy lifestyle. With over 10 years of personal training and group training experience, they bring expertise and caring personal interactions to each and every client that walks through the door.
Our Story
Growing up in Newark, Jerry knew that he wanted to give back to the city that helped raise him. After graduating from Saint Benedict's, he continued his education at Rutgers, and soon thereafter began changing lives through fitness. Most recently, Coach Jerry has obtained a Master's Degree in Mental Health Psychology. At Brick City Strength, he brings this vantage point and his almost two decades of fitness experience to train the Newark community in many aspects of wellness. His main objective is to shine a light into the dark areas of anyone's life.
Our Facility
We are conveniently located in the heart of Downtown Newark, just steps away from the Prudential Arena. We utilize outdoor space around the Teachers Village area and nearby areas for those workouts that take you outside or on a long run. Our community unites individuals from all backgrounds and fitness levels. We offer an introductory session for newcomers, group classes, and personal training that use variable training programs to get the most out of your time with us. In each of our classes, movements and weights are scalable based upon ability.
