BBC Fasteners has come a long way since its humble beginnings in the late 1950s. The company started as a venture by Jerry Taylor, who, after working at Marquette Bolt in Chicago, decided to take the risks of starting his own business. At first, the company specialized in hot heading square head blanks, also known as unthreaded bolts, primarily for one customer who threaded them in-house. Due to the growing demand and increasing customer base, the company soon bought its own threading machines, bar shears, floor scales, and even a lift truck or two.

Gene Sullivan, Jerry Taylor's son-in-law, joined the company in the latter part of the 1960s, bringing about significant changes. Gene's arrival marked the beginning of a new era, and the company gradually transformed from Blank Bolt to BBC Fasteners. With a strong determination to succeed, the company expanded its product line and services, which led to the creation of new relationships with local, privately-owned fastener distributors and hardware stores who serviced heavy industry and steel mills in Chicago, northern Illinois, Wisconsin, and Indiana.

Today, BBC Fasteners is a leading manufacturer of hot-formed products, cold-headed parts, and CNC-machined components. With over 50 years of experience, the company offers extensive capabilities in hot forging from 1/2 in. through 2 in. (M16-M50) diameter, cold heading 3/8 in. x 1 in. through 1-1/4 in. x 9 in., and CNC machining and milling from 3/8 in. through 9 in. diameter. The company's product range includes a variety of metric diameters from M12 through M30 in different classes and coatings.
