Rmt Architects

RMT Architects, PC, is a firm founded in May 1996 in Vail, Colorado, by a group of enthusiastic and diverse architects who met while working in the Resort and Luxury Home industry. The principals of RMT bring unique personalities and skill sets to the table and are proud of their talented and energetic staff of architects and designers. Harvey Robertson, the Managing Partner, oversees the day-to-day operations of the firm and has delivered a number of large-scale urban infill projects in the United States and abroad. Chad Salter, the Partner in charge of design, brings expertise in green technologies, communication technologies, and the management of accuracy and completeness of the end product.

Our Team

Each of the partners at RMT is an active community member, involved in activities such as coaching youth athletic teams, donating time and resources to the public school system, and participating with local charities. This participation reflects our belief that design should not only meet the functional and financial goals of its Owners but should also reinforce the quality and value of the community as a whole. Our commitment to our clients is to provide sophisticated design tools and project documentation systems.

Design Process

RMT uses versions of Sketchup and AutoCAD in the design process at an early stage to offer the project team highly informative visualization and analytical tools. We also offer highly efficient cloud-based project files on RMT Web Access, which complements personal interaction with the entire team and gives remotely located clients and consultants easy access to all the documentation throughout the life of the projects. As community members, RMT emphasizes the importance of local history, traditions, and energy-efficient building techniques in our designs. Furthermore, we place the utmost importance on personal communication and interaction with our Clients, not only at the beginning but throughout the life of our Projects.

Services Offered

We offer site consultations, master planning, and overall conceptual site design work as well as individual building design and interior design support. Our services include support for big-picture ideas developed on an hourly basis and individual buildings contracted for separately if the construction of these buildings is going to be sequenced over time. We also provide coordination for support buildings, infrastructure elements, and site coordination for the overall project's success. Additionally, secondary buildings require structural, mechanical/electrical, and interior fixed finishes coordination.
