Baker Funeral Home is a family-owned business with a long history of personal service and commitment to the local community of Queensbury, New York. For three generations, our staff has been a team of caring, compassionate, and experienced professionals who treat everyone like family.

*Maynard D. Baker (1930 - 2021): Founder*

Maynard D. Baker, the founder of Baker Funeral Home, was a graduate of American Academy, McAllister Institute of Funeral Service, NYC. He started and operated Maynard D. Baker Funeral Home in Warrensburg for seventeen years before selling it and serving as Town Supervisor of Warrensburg for 10 years. Maynard's love for the funeral industry and his community led him to establish the Baker Funeral Home in Queensbury, where he was a beloved figure until his peaceful passing at the age of 91.

*Starr Baker: Owner/Manager*

Starr Baker, the daughter of Maynard D. Baker, is the current owner and operator of Baker Funeral Home. She grew up in the funeral service business and has been providing care and compassion to families in their time of need for many years. Starr is a licensed funeral director, having graduated from Simmons School of Mortuary Science, Syracuse, N.Y., in 1984. She is also a registered nurse, having graduated from Adirondack Community College. Starr is dedicated to serving the families of our community with the utmost care and concern.

*Clifford R. Gates: Licensed Funeral Director*

Clifford R. Gates is a licensed funeral director who has been serving the Queensbury community for many years. Cliff graduated from Lake George High School in 1965 and served as a New York State Trooper for 20 years before becoming a licensed funeral director in 1990. He operates his monument business, Gates Cemetery Monuments, in Warrensburg and is a valuable member of the Baker Funeral Home team.
