Imagine and Shape the Future
SCI-Arc is a world-renowned center of innovation and one of the nation's few independent architecture schools. Located in the Arts District of Los Angeles, our school is distinguished by the vibrant atmosphere of its studios, providing students with a uniquely inspiring environment to study architecture and design. With a focus on finding radically new responses to the real needs and aspirations of today's world, we offer undergraduate, graduate, and postgraduate programs to educate architects who will imagine and shape the future.
Our programs are designed to foster creativity, critical thinking, and technical skills. Students and faculty work together in a fluid, nonhierarchical manner to rethink assumptions, create, explore, and test the limits of architecture. With a diverse student body and faculty, we are committed to creating an inclusive environment that encourages diversity and promotes the exchange of ideas.
Academics
At SCI-Arc, we offer a range of programs that cater to different levels of study and interests. From undergraduate programs like the B.Arch and BS Design to graduate programs such as the M.Arch 1 and M.Arch 2, and postgraduate programs like Architectural Technologies and Design of Cities, we provide a comprehensive education in architecture and design. Our programs are designed to prepare students for careers in architecture, design, and related fields, as well as to equip them with the skills and knowledge necessary to pursue advanced degrees.
Campus Life
Our campus is located in a quarter-mile-long former freight depot in the Arts District of Los Angeles. This unique setting provides an inspiring environment for students to study and collaborate. We also offer a range of extracurricular activities and events that foster a sense of community among students, including exhibitions, workshops, and design competitions. Our campus is a hub of creative activity, where students can engage with each other and with the broader design community.
