OnPoint Fitness is a Washington, DC-based company dedicated to helping people achieve their fitness goals through injury-free and energy-efficient techniques. Our goal is to teach skills that reduce the risk of injury, allowing you to make fitness a part of your everyday life. We believe in empowering our clients to take control of their health and well-being, as well as connecting with others who share similar goals and ambitions.

Our Story

Our company was founded by Lloyd Henry, a health educator and entrepreneur with a passion for promoting healthy living. Lloyd is a certified ChiRunning Master Instructor, Certified ChiWalking Master Instructor, and Total Immersion Swim Coach. He is also a USA Triathlon Certified Coach Level 1 and has completed numerous triathlons, including the Ironman World Championships in Kona, Hawaii, St. George, Utah, and Nice, France.

Our Services

At OnPoint Fitness, we offer coaching services to meet your individual needs. Our training programs are available for a triathlon (from sprint to Ironman), swimming, and running (5k to marathon). All coached athletes will receive a 10% discount on OnPoint Fitness private swim lessons and clinics.

Swimming

Total Immersion can provide you with all the tools you need to become the best swimmer you can be. Swimmers at our workshops - even those who have been frustrated for years - have seen their swimming improve dramatically in just a few hours. Total Immersion's foolproof teaching approach can help any student master a fluent, beautiful, and economical style and bring results far faster than conventional methods.

Triathlon

Whether you're thinking about entering your very first competition or are a well-accomplished struggler, our workshops will help you develop the skills necessary for your best Triathlon experience ever. We offer a combination of Total Immersion and ChiRunning workshops to help jumpstart your training and achieve your Triathlon goals.

Running

ChiRunning combines the inner focus and flow of T'ai Chi with the power and energy of running to create a revolutionary running form and philosophy that takes the pounding, pain, and potential damage out of the sport of running. Whether you're an injured runner, a beginner runner, a marathon runner, a triathlete, or someone who runs to stay fit, ChiRunning has helped thousands improve their technique, reduce injury, and achieve personal goals. This technique helps reduce and eliminate shin splints, IT band syndrome, hamstring injury, plantar fasciitis, hip problems, and knee injuries.

Walking

The ChiWalking program is an entirely new approach to creating health, fitness, and well-being through the activity of walking. ChiWalking blends walking with the inner focuses of T'ai Chi, the ancient Chinese martial art that has gained much notoriety in this country for creating balance, strength, and improved cognition. The Form emphasizes proper biomechanics of walking, including good posture, loose joints, engaging one's core muscles, and relaxing the arms and legs' peripheral muscles. This approach makes walking easier on the body and helps improve and eliminate the aches, pains, and discomfort of walking incorrectly.
