Let's Play! Now enrolling for Fall of 2024!
Art Play Nursery School was founded in 1981 with a vision to inspire and nurture children through a play-based philosophy of learning and curriculum. Our goal is to provide a positive preschool experience that encourages and supports the emotional, social, cognitive, and physical development of each child. We believe that every child is unique and develops their abilities when they feel comfortable in the environment.
At Art Play, we understand that play is vital for every young child and provides many ways for them to grow and learn. Through spontaneous and directed play, children develop their senses, learn to talk, share ideas, express their feelings, and use energy in healthy ways. Our program includes extensive open-ended art experiences, block play, and dramatic play, as well as small and large motor activities. We believe that a balance of teacher-directed and child-initiated activities is essential for fostering a child's growth and development.
Our dedicated staff is committed to providing a supportive and engaging environment that allows children to explore, learn, and grow at their own pace. We have a team of experienced and caring teachers who are passionate about early childhood education and are dedicated to helping children reach their full potential.
We offer two programs for children aged three and four years old. Our 3-Year-Old Program meets on Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 8:30 - 11:30am, while our 4-Year-Old Program meets on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings from 8:30-12:00pm, with children bringing their lunch. Both programs are designed to provide a nurturing and stimulating environment where children can develop their skills and abilities through play and exploration.
We are a 501(c)3 Non-Profit organization, and our board works hard each year to fundraise so that Art Play can supplement tuition. Our goal is to keep Art Play affordable for all families and to compensate our teachers and team as fairly as possible.

Meet Our Team!
At Art Play, we are very proud of our staff's commitment and longevity with the program. Our dedicated team is passionate about early childhood education and is dedicated to helping children reach their full potential.
Laura Day, Director
Laura has been in the classroom at ART PLAY since 2001, taking on the dual role of Director/Teacher in 2017. She has been active in early childhood education for over 30 years. Laura's favorite part of teaching at ART PLAY is the challenge of adjusting the program each year to meet the specific needs of each group of students. Her aim is to find the best way for the program to engage and support each child in their development. She has always been fascinated by a child's sense of wonder when they discover something new.
Jen Glockler, Teacher
Jen joined the staff at ART PLAY in 2011, prior to teaching, Jen worked as an occupational therapist for children with autism and related disabilities. Jen has worked with children of all ages but has a special place in her heart for young children. She enjoys watching them grow and develop new skills, and she is always eager to find new ways to support their learning.
