Our Story

With deep roots in Central Florida, Ovida Construction was founded in 2013 by Zach Barber. The name "Ovida" pays homage to Zach's hometown, Oviedo, Florida. Initially, the company focused on completing hardscapes and amenities for land developers coming out of the Great Recession. Over the years, we've grown into a multi-faceted general contractor, serving clients throughout the Southeast across various sectors.

Ovida Executive Team

Our leadership team is dedicated to delivering the highest quality services to our clients. Zach Barber, our founder and president, has over 17 years of experience in the construction industry and is certified in 16 states as a commercial general contractor. Charles Frazier, our Vice President of Operations, brings a wealth of knowledge with his 19 years of experience in managing projects across numerous areas. James Penny, our Vice President of Sales, has a background in economics and experience in the financial and risk mitigation sides of the construction industry.
