About Laura B. Inns

Laura B. Inns, the founder of LBI Law, LLC, has a diverse background that sets her apart from other attorneys. A native of the North Shore suburbs, Laura graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Journalism from the University of Missouri-Columbia. Prior to entering the legal profession, Laura worked as a photojournalist for over ten years, giving her a unique perspective and skill set that she now applies to her legal practice.

Laura began her legal career in general litigation, focusing on agriculture and probate litigation. However, in 2014, she decided to narrow her practice to focus on family law. Since then, Laura has handled a wide range of family law cases, including disputes over the division of marital assets, the establishment of nonmarital assets, improper disposition or dissipation of marital assets, allocation of income-tax liability for unconventional income structures, parenting time, significant decision-making for children, establishing paternity, and allocating income tax benefits arising out of children.

Outside of her professional life, Laura spends time with her two dogs, Bailey and Sarge. Bailey, born in 2014, is a dedicated companion who loves swimming, while Sarge, born in 2018, is a playful and energetic addition to the family.
