Our story began with Louie Mallane, who established Louie's Pizza in Ketchum-Sun Valley, Idaho, with a bank loan of just $150. From humble beginnings, Louie's quickly grew in reputation and size, serving quality dining experiences at affordable prices.

Our Story

Louie's Pizza & Italian Restaurant has a rich history that goes back many decades. Our founders, Thomas Guitano Mallane and Catherine Granato, immigrated to the United States from Italy with dreams of a better life. They worked hard, and eventually, their families settled in the hills of Utah. Although times were tough during the Great Depression, Thomas and Catherine persevered, instilling in their family a strong work ethic and a deep love for tradition.

Louie's Pizza was established in 1965, and for 35 years, Louie's family served the Wood River Valley with their signature brand of quality Italian cuisine. In 2000, they brought their tradition to the Treasure Valley, and today, Louie's Pizza & Italian Restaurant continues to uphold the values and traditions that have made us a favorite among locals and visitors alike.
