Our Story

Body Works Inc. was founded as Weber Chiropractic in 1990 by Dr. Michael Weber, DC, ART, in the Lead/Deadwood area. After five successful years, the practice moved to Spearfish in 1995, where it has continued to thrive. However, Dr. Weber was not satisfied with the number of cases that were not responding to traditional chiropractic care, physical therapy, massage, or other types of medical care. In 2002, he discovered Active Release Techniques (ART), a medically patented technique developed by Dr. Michael Leahy. Dr. Weber was amazed at the ART treatment he personally received, which immediately resolved his chronic shoulder, knee, and ankle problems that had responded minimally to other types of care.
