The Idaho Life and Health Insurance Guaranty Association is a non-profit organization created in 1977 to protect Idaho residents who are policyholders and beneficiaries of policies issued by an insolvent member insurance company. Our mission is to provide financial protection to policyholders in the event of an insurance company's insolvency, ensuring that policyholders continue to receive the coverage they need.

Our Purpose

Our Services

Eligibility

We protect policyholders who own life, accident, and health insurance policies or annuity contracts issued by our member insurance companies. Our coverage applies to:

• Direct individual or direct group life and accident and health/disability insurance policies
• Annuity contracts issued by our member insurance companies
• Certain certificates of insurance issued under policies of group life or group health insurance
