The Kitchen

At the heart of the Delft Bistro is our open kitchen concept, which gives you a unique experience of seeing the action as it happens. Our menus evolve with the seasons, allowing us to embrace local food, fellowship, and culture through our relationships with farms and artisans within the Marquette community. Our passion for food is surpassed only by our passion for the surroundings that inspire us.

Our Chef

Chef Kris Stunkard, our executive chef, is deeply committed to letting the ingredients speak for themselves. With roots in the culinary scene of Yellowstone National Park, Chef Kris found his "happy place" in Marquette, Michigan, where he received his culinary degree from Northern Michigan University. The mountains, forests, Lake Superior sunrises, and the Northern Lights are the fuel to his fire. Chef Kris's seasonal menus reflect his love for the Upper Peninsula and its bountiful harvests.

Our Menu

Every plate at the Delft Bistro achieves that elusive, cuisine-defining balance of sweet, salty, and sour - even dessert. Our menus feature new American fare that is both approachable and innovative, with dishes that showcase the freshest local ingredients. Our menu includes appetizers, salads, entrees, fresh house-made pasta, and desserts that will satisfy every palate.

Our appetizers include cheese curds, milk and honey, mustard cream Brussels sprouts, roasted beets, and roasted red pepper hummus, among others. Our salads feature the Green Screen, beet salad, pear salad, and falafel or chicken shawarma salad, all made with fresh, locally-sourced ingredients.

Our entrees include the Feature, Super Smash Burger, Foghorn Leghorn, falafel or shawarma pita, kimchi Reuben, and the Main Act, which includes ribs, salmon, duck, and mushroom risotto. Our fresh house-made pasta includes maltagliati, tagliatelle, fettuccine, and ricotta gnudi, all made in-house with the freshest ingredients.

Our dessert menu includes the Delft classic chocolate chip skillet cookie, creme brulee, and Oreo tiramisu, all made from scratch in-house.

Location and Hours

The Delft Bistro is located in the heart of downtown Marquette, Michigan, at 139 West Washington Street. We are open Monday through Sunday, with hours that vary depending on the day of the week. We offer dine-in and takeout options, and we encourage you to order online or give us a call to reserve your table.
