OUR STORY

Nelson's Greenhouse has a rich history rooted in a passion for providing the community with high-quality plants and a love for gardening. It all began in the Spring of 1992 in Dana, Indiana, where Kenny and Becky Nelson opened their first greenhouse, offering a modest selection of annuals, perennials, and fruits and vegetables. Driven by a desire to curate bespoke plant selections, they embarked on the journey of seeding the majority of their inventory, reflecting a commitment to offering plants grown with meticulous care and attention.

The success of their first venture led to exciting expansion opportunities. In 1995, they opened a second greenhouse in Clinton, Indiana. This location quickly outgrew its space, prompting a move to their current, sprawling location in 1998. Situated conveniently right off SR 63 and SR 163, this new home boasts a front seasonal house, seven full greenhouses, a dedicated seed house, and a thriving garden, spanning an impressive 31,484 square feet under poly. This expansive setup solidifies their position as one of the largest growers in Western Indiana, allowing them to provide an even wider array of options to their loyal customers.

Discover a rainbow of sweet and bell pepper choices, alongside a diverse array of leafy greens like lettuce, spinach, kale, and collard greens. For those seeking rewarding and unique additions, we offer asparagus, cabbage, cauliflower, broccoli, Brussels sprouts, okra, and eggplant. Our selection also includes fruiting favorites like cucumber (including six delightful varieties), potatoes, onion sets and plants, sweet potatoes, and a variety of squash.
