Clinic History

Dr. Jon Schroeder moved to Concordia, Missouri, after graduating from Kansas State University, College of Veterinary Medicine, in 1975. Dr. Schroeder practiced with Dr. Dale Bivin for one year before purchasing the practice and building from Dr. Bivin and renaming it Concordia Veterinary Clinic in 1976. In 1998, Dr. Schroeder and his wife, Karen, designed and built the current clinic, located just north of Concordia on Highway 23. In 2017, the Schroeders retired and sold the clinic to Dr. Paul and Rhonda Smith. In 2022, the Smiths renovated the existing building to increase exam rooms and treatment areas to better serve our growing client base.
