Our Story

The legacy of Starr Funeral Home began with W. O. Stringer, who recognized the need for a dedicated funeral service in Hemphill. In 1946, he entrusted the operation of the newly established facility to John Byron Starr, Sr., who continued to expand and modernize the services offered. Today, John's grandson, John Starr, Jr., carries on the family tradition, ensuring that the families they serve receive the highest level of care and attention.
