Tampa Bay Bankruptcy Bar Association

The Tampa Bay Bankruptcy Bar Association is a voluntary bar organization dedicated to serving the interests of bankruptcy attorneys, judges, and the community at large. Our mission is to provide our members with the information and resources necessary to excel in the bankruptcy practice in the Tampa Division. We offer a range of services, including monthly luncheons with CLE credit, frequent seminars, and informal consumer attorney meetings. Our quarterly publication, the Cramdown, keeps members informed of current bankruptcy issues. We are also actively involved in projects such as the Pro Se Assistance Clinic and community outreach initiatives. Our goal is to foster a sense of camaraderie among bankruptcy practitioners in the region while serving the needs of all parties in the bankruptcy system.

Membership

Membership in the TBBBA is open to all attorneys who practice in the Middle District of Florida, as well as to our panel trustees, members of the bar at large, and law students. We believe that by working together, we can make a positive impact on the bankruptcy community and promote professionalism and excellence in our field.

CLE and Educational Programs

One of the key benefits of membership is access to our CLE programs, which are designed to keep you up-to-date on the latest developments in bankruptcy law. Our luncheons and seminars are regularly accredited for Florida Bar continuing legal education credit. We also offer on-demand CLE videos to our members, providing a wealth of information at your fingertips.

Community Involvement

In addition to our educational programs, we are committed to giving back to the community. Our Pro Se Assistance Clinic provides free information and guidance to debtors who cannot afford attorney representation. We also partner with the judiciary and the clerk's office to promote communication and meet the needs of all parties in the bankruptcy system.
